Greenville State Farmers Market

Liles Construction partnered with the South Carolina Department of Agriculture to revitalize the Greenville State Farmers Market, a beloved community hub for fresh produce and plants sourced from local farms. The renovation focused on modernizing the existing 16,000-square-foot facility while ensuring the market could remain operational throughout the process.

The project was carried out in three phases, allowing vendors and customers to continue using the space during construction. Work included a complete interior and exterior façade renovation, refreshing the look and functionality of the market while maintaining its essential role in the community.

One of the highlights of the project was the addition of a structural western cedar canopy at the main entrance. This striking feature not only enhances the building’s visual appeal but also provides shade and shelter for shoppers.

Liles also renovated an additional on-site office building, creating dedicated space for market staff to support daily operations.

Completed in September 2025, this project gave the Greenville State Farmers Market a fresh, modern identity while honoring its longstanding role as a year-round resource for South Carolina farms and families.
