At Liles, we have to admit that we love a craft beer brewery build-out. Not for the reasons you might think…but because we really enjoy bringing these community gathering spaces to the Queen City. We have worked on so many in the Southend neighborhood over the last few years, and we’re honored that the owners of Hopfly Brewing Company asked us to be the General Contractor for their new location.

For this adaptive reuse build, Redline Design Group was the architect for this unique space. Created out of the former Unknown Brewing space, this build would transform Unknown’s former taproom into a nearly unrecognizable new brewhouse and patio. The Liles team created a new patio complete with an 80’ spanned new steel structure.

Our team at Liles updated the taproom and upstairs area. We also had to replace a significant amount of bad concrete on the exterior patio. The job required more structural work than we anticipated. Lastly, we did an upfit of the taproom and added a new bar upstairs.

The space looks incredible and so is the view from it. We’re grateful to have had a part in bringing this fantastic brewery to the area.
