Liles Construction Company and the Boys and Girls Club have been partners since the company’s inception in 1984, with two of our senior leadership members having served on the board. For this project, the Boys and Girls Club needed additional space. The club was maxed out with its afterschool program, and the new building allowed for hundreds of additional students to have a safe and productive place for after- and before-school care.

During preconstruction and the capital campaign, the owner and design team ran into quite a few budget overruns and concerns. In response, Liles Construction continuously updated budgets and offered value engineering options to be presented at each financial committee meeting and capital campaign. We were able to complete the project within the nonprofit organization’s budget.
